Who are you as a woman—and who are you still becoming?

In this episode of Kenosis Conversations, Christine and Carole continue their honest conversation about womanhood, identity, resilience, relationships, faith, and the experiences that shape us.

They begin with a simple but powerful reflection:

“As a woman, I am…”
“As a woman, I am not…”
“As a woman, I want to be…”

From there, the conversation explores how our mothers, mentors, childhood experiences, losses, relationships, and life transitions influence the women we become. Christine and Carole reflect on letting go of bitterness, finding meaning in difficult seasons, asking for what we need, expanding into new possibilities, and learning to recognize the gifts hidden within our struggles.

They also share three practices that can help us move toward greater peace and fulfillment:

  • Stay present rather than becoming trapped in the past or consumed by the future.
  • Practice gratitude by noticing what is working in your life today.
  • Reframe difficult experiences by asking: How have I grown? What have I learned? And how can I use what I’ve learned to move forward?

Our histories influence us, but they do not have to determine our futures. Growth often begins when we become curious about what has shaped us, empty ourselves of what no longer serves us, and intentionally fill our lives with something new.
