I’ve been in counseling but need a change

Finding The Right Fit

Have you worked with a therapist for a long time and feel that things have stalled?  Are you just starting in therapy and feel that the fit just isn’t right?.  Have you been in therapy for a while and now you’re working on an issue that requires a different specialty?  Any of these scenarios could point you in the direction of seeking a new therapist.  It’s important to know, first of all, that there’s nothing wrong with you.  You shouldn’t feel guilty about having needs that do not align with your current therapy relationship.

What sets Kenosis apart from others…

We have developed a model for personal change, that was born out of personal and professional experience of over 30 years. We call it “The Kenosis Way.” This model was developed from a survey of over 450 previous clients and the personal experience of our owners. In essence, clients reflected to us, the model we were using…

Emptying Out

Changing Your Life

Filling Up Your Future

What also sets us apart is our transparency. We seek out and bring on therapists who are authentic, passionate and on a life journey themselves. We’ve been where you are, so we have a deep empathy for what you’re going through. Being understood is much better than simply being listened to.

What will I get from a new therapist that I did not get from my former therapist?

The right match is vital in counseling. We will listen closely to your experience and needs and align you with the best therapist for you. We’re very good match makers! A new therapist brings a completely different set of experiences, training and approach. You will be understood. Your new therapist will create the safety and connection with you, that will allow you to have the personal transformation you desire.

Finding the right therapist can be tricky.  You want a match that your gut says is right for you, and typically you know very quickly when you’ve got it... Communication is secure, you get into a natural flow in sessions, and you work together well as a team.  It can take 3-5 attempts before you find the right match, so persistence is key!
