Allison L. McGinley, PsyD, HSPP

Dr. McGinley has worked in the field of psychology since 2000 and has evaluated hundreds of individuals throughout the Midwest. Dr. McGinley has received intensive training in the assessment and diagnosis of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities through the Riley Child Development Center including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, and Learning Disorders. Her practical experiences have included psychological testing in schools, community mental health centers, and prison settings.

Dr. McGinley received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Southern Indiana, her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University and her Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Indianapolis. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Park Center, Inc, an APA-accredited training facility She also completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Riley Child Development Center at Riley Hospital where she participated in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program.

Through her private practice experience, she has provided diagnostic testing of children and adults with various referral questions. She has administered intellectual testing for gifted children as well as those with intellectual disabilities. Individuals are often referred to her for diagnostic testing for ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Mood Disorders as well as psychoeducational testing of Learning Disorders.

Of particular interest to Dr. McGinley are not only the diagnostic benefits of psychological testing, but the recommendations that she is able to provide based on testing. She enjoys assisting patients through recommendations to be used for school settings such as with IEPs. Additionally, her reports have allowed patients to accommodate their therapeutic needs or determine the need for medical follow-up. She is excited to be part of the Kenosis Center to provide their assessment needs.
