Psychotherapist, EMDR Trained, EFCT Trained

Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and professional writing from Purdue University and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. After more than 25 years working in high school ministry in the Greenwood community, Andrea returned to graduate school to pursue her passion for counseling. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, couples, and families, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore life’s challenges with resilience, hope, and strength.

Andrea utilizes an integrative approach, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs of each client. She has received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed care. She also incorporates sand tray therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as somatic and mindfulness techniques to help clients regulate emotions, process difficult experiences, and enhance problem-solving in stressful situations. When working with children, teens, and families, Andrea often incorporates experiential and creative activities, emphasizing that therapy can be both meaningful and engaging. She also honors the role of faith in overall well-being, integrating biblically based principles and practices when requested.

Andrea and her husband of over 30 years are long-time residents of Southside Indianapolis, where they raised four sons in the Center Grove community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, playing games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
